News Corp. Editor Shakes Bribery Charges

Law360, New York (April 2, 2013, 4:35 PM EDT) -- U.K. authorities on Tuesday dropped bribery charges against the crime editor of News Corp. tabloid The Sun, which has been linked to the phone hacking scandal that rocked the British press landscape and tarnished Rupert Murdoch's media empire.

In an internal email shared with Law360 on Monday, News International Group Ltd. CEO Mike Darcey said that the U.K.'s Metropolitan Police have dropped their investigation into Sun crime desk editor Mike Sullivan, who was arrested in January 2012 as part of Scotland Yard's so-called Operation Elveden bribery...
