Sony, Immersion Back In Court Over Misconduct Claims

Law360, New York (October 18, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Although a judgment was handed down and $82 million changed hands, neither Sony nor computer peripheral maker Immersion is ready to end their fight over videogame technology patents. Both companies are now accusing each other of misconduct and gearing up for yet another court battle.

Sony has accused Immersion of fraud, alleging the company withheld statements from the inventor of the technology in question. Immersion fired back, saying Sony has initiated a smear campaign and accusing the company of misconduct.
