Feds Relaunch Charges In Jenkens Tax Fraud Case

Law360, New York (April 4, 2013, 6:11 PM EDT) -- Manhattan federal prosecutors filed a superseding indictment in anticipation of the retrial of two defendants in the Jenkens & Gilchrist PC tax fraud case, almost a year after a judge threw out their convictions after finding out a juror in the case had lied about her past.

The indictment is virtually identical to the 2009 document charging Paul Daugerdas, former Chicago office head of J&G, and Denis Field, ex-CEO of accounting firm BDO Seidman, for designing tax shelters for the now-defunct Dallas-based law firm and acting...
