Gunmaker Sues Liquor Co. Over Tommy Guns Vodka

Law360, New York (April 4, 2013, 2:10 PM EDT) -- The company behind the famed Thompson submachine gun, better known as the Tommy gun, sued an Illinois liquor maker last week for selling a brand of vodka under the trademarked gun name.

New York-based Saeilo Enterprises Inc. still produces and sells the gun, which rose to infamy as the weapon of choice for Prohibition-era mobsters and has long been a staple of the Hollywood arsenal.
