FTC Finds New Targets For Fair Credit Actions

Law360, New York (April 4, 2013, 10:18 PM EDT) -- The Federal Trade Commission this week broadened its authority under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, extending the law to data brokers that share rental histories with landlords and others that track retail employees accused of theft, moves that show companies can no longer feign ignorance to escape claims under the reporting law, attorneys say.
