Chamber Of Commerce Calls For Dodd-Frank Overhaul

Law360, New York (April 4, 2013, 9:03 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Chamber of Commerce on Thursday proposed reforms to the Dodd-Frank Act that would include scrapping certain sections, saying that the complex law has hindered financial firms’ efforts to invest in the economy.

Several years after the 2010 passage of Dodd-Frank, a post-financial crisis law aimed at curbing the perceived excesses of Wall Street and large U.S. businesses, the regulatory regime remains a mess, the chamber said. The organization is the largest business lobby group in the U.S.
