Ex-SK Foods Head Can't Avoid Prison During Restitution Case

Law360, New York (April 4, 2013, 5:49 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Thursday rejected a former SK Foods LP CEO's request that his imprisonment be delayed so he can attend court proceedings surrounding the restitution he may have to pay in connection with his price-fixing and racketeering scheme.

In a one-sentence order, U.S. District Judge Lawrence K. Karlton gave no reason for his decision not to allow Frederick Scott Salyer, who pled guilty to price-fixing and racketeering charges, extra time before he reports to prison. Salyer’s surrender date will remain April 9.
