Investors Sue Andrx Amid FDA Skirmish

Law360, New York (October 19, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Investors took legal action against drug maker Andrx Corp. Tuesday, accusing the pharmaceutical company of violating federal securities laws and misrepresenting the approval status of new drug applications with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The class action suit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, where investors vented over Andrx’s alleged inability to implement quality manufacturing practices at its facilities. The allegations cover the six-month period between March 09, 2005 and September 05, 2005.
