CFTC Knows Its Wash Trading Claims Are False, RBC Says

Law360, New York (April 8, 2013, 6:46 PM EDT) -- The Royal Bank of Canada accused the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission in New York federal court Friday of rebuffing its requests for documents to hide that the agency's wash-trading lawsuit against RBC has no factual basis.

The accusation is the latest development in what the CFTC has dubbed as one of the largest suits of its kind in the agency's history, and follows RBC's motion to compel the agency to release 29 emails, notices and other documents surrounding its investigation of the bank's block trading...
