Court Makes U-Turn In UPS Deaf Drivers Case

Law360, New York (January 3, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Marking a major turnaround, an appellate court reversed an earlier panel ruling on Friday that United Parcel Service Inc. violated national labor laws by excluding the hearing-impaired from truck driver positions.

The 13-2 decision was handed down Friday in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
