Judge Nixes Credit Suisse's Bid To Boot Fraud Charges

Law360, New York (January 3, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Credit Suisse First Boston has lost a bid to toss fraud allegations after a federal judge found that the company was at the center of an alleged scheme to defraud investors of now-bankrupt National Century Financial Enterprises Inc.

In an opinion and order handed down Dec. 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, Judge James L. Graham rejected Credit Suisse's motion to dismiss allegations by a slew of plaintiffs ─ including Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. and Lloyds TSB Bank Plc ─...
