Penn States Fires Back At Insurer's Bid For Sanctions

Law360, Philadelphia (April 9, 2013, 5:32 PM EDT) -- The Pennsylvania State University fired back Friday at its insurer's claims that the school should be slapped with sanctions for filing an allegedly duplicative lawsuit in Centre County over coverage for civil litigation stemming from the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal.

In a filing in the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas, Penn State said a suit it launched in Centre County in March, and which Pennsylvania Manufacturers’ Insurance Co. has characterized as a sanctionable effort to relocate the ongoing coverage dispute in Philadelphia over...
