IBM Chemicals Caused Cancer: Suit

Law360, New York (January 3, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- More than 90 plaintiffs are suing International Business Machines Corp. for allegedly dumping harmful chemicals around the hamlet in New York where the computer giant began.

The suit, filed Thursday in the Supreme Court of Broome County, New York, alleged the company released harmful chemicals in the Village of Endicott, causing physical illness and death as well as decreases in property values.
