Nurse's Gossip May Expose NY Hospitals To Privacy Suits

Law360, New York (April 11, 2013, 3:54 PM EDT) -- A nurse’s gossip about a patient’s sexually transmitted disease threatens to make New York hospitals and clinics far more vulnerable to litigation over leaked patient medical information, experts say, as the state’s highest court weighs whether employers can be sued for that sort of unpredictable misconduct.
