Cooper University Health Picks Up Stake In AmeriHealth NJ

Law360, New York (April 10, 2013, 7:13 PM EDT) -- Cooper University Health Care said Wednesday it will acquire a 20 percent stake in insurance company AmeriHealth New Jersey, inking the latest deal in a growing landscape of hospital-insurer partnerships meant to give both sides greater access to patient data.

Cooper and AmeriHealth New Jersey say they will develop new health plans that offer insured, self-insured and Medicare options as part of a plan to create a long-term primary care support plan in the state.
