Calif. Waste Oil Co. Evergreen Slides Into Ch.11

Law360, New York (April 10, 2013, 7:04 PM EDT) -- Waste oil collector and re-refiner Evergreen Oil Inc. on Tuesday filed for Chapter 11 in California bankruptcy court along with its parent and sole shareholder Evergreen Environmental Holdings Inc., saying it intends to market itself for sale to various interested parties.

Irvine, Calif.-based Evergreen said because of a fire that severely damaged some of its operating equipment and other reasons, its cash flow has been restricted, making it difficult for the company to operate.
