Judge Skims Claims From Pool Products Antitrust MDL

Law360, New York (April 12, 2013, 2:10 PM EDT) -- A Louisiana federal judge on Thursday tossed some antitrust claims brought against Pool Corp. and manufacturers of swimming pool equipment by a putative class of direct purchasers, who allege the company monopolized the distribution market for pool products.

U.S. District Judge Sarah A. Vance pared claims from a multidistrict antitrust litigation alleging that Pool monopolized, and attempted to monopolize, the pool product distribution market.
