Calif. Adds BPA To List Of Dangerous Chemicals

Law360, San Diego (April 12, 2013, 10:32 PM EDT) -- California on Thursday added bisphenol A to the state’s Proposition 65 list of substances potentially dangerous to human health, despite an ongoing suit by chemical companies seeking to keep the substance often found in plastic bottles and food packaging off the list.

The California Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment issued a notice declaring BPA a known reproductive toxin under the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986.
