Defense Contractor Gets $23M In Trade Secret Suit

Law360, New York (January 4, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- An Ohio-based defense contractor has won almost $23 million in damages in a trial alleging three former employees set up a rival company to steal its trade secrets.

Innovative Technologies Corp. was awarded nearly $6 million in compensatory damages and another $17 million in punitive damages by a state jury, which heard the company lost a major contract in 2001 after the employees jumped ship.
