Actos Plaintiff Deserves $5.3M For Bladder Cancer, Jury Told

Law360, Los Angeles (April 16, 2013, 1:44 PM EDT) -- Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. should pay $5.3 million in damages to a 79-year-old California man who claims diabetes drug Actos caused his terminal bladder cancer, his lawyer told a Los Angeles jury during closing arguments Tuesday in the first trial in a mass tort litigation against the Japan-based drugmaker.
