Refco Plaintiffs, Remaining Defendants Square Off

Law360, New York (January 7, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The plaintiffs in a securities class action case against fallen futures brokerage Refco Inc., who agreed to settle an action against a former Refco executive, fired back at the nonsettling executive defendants who have challenged the settlement.

In a memorandum of law filed on Friday, the group of plaintiffs who settled with former Refco general counsel Dennis Klejna refuted the arguments made by the remaining defendants in the case who have filed a motion opposing the deal.
