LCD Glass Makers Settle Copyright, Trade Secrets Suits

Law360, New York (October 24, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The two lawsuits between Corning Inc. and Picvue Electronics over LCD glass technology have been settled, with a $1.5 million settlement reached in a copyright infringement case and an undisclosed settlement in a trade-secrets suit.

Taiwanese LCD glass maker Picvue agreed to pay $1.5 million to Corning in a suit filed against Picvue Optoelectronics International Co, a Picvue subsidiary that produces the glass substrates that are the basis for transitional LCD displays.
