Deutsche Bank To Get $34M In Calpine Bankruptcy

Law360 (January 7, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- After appointing his own valuation expert, a U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York judge has allowed Deutsche Bank a general unsecured claim of more than $34 million in a Chapter 11 settlement against major power company Calpine Corp.

The multinational bank had claimed a little more than $35 million against Calpine in a complaint filed July 18, 2006.

The agreement will be presented at the court for approval on Jan. 24.
