Adult Film Cos. May Pull Out Of Calif. If Condom Bill Passes

Law360, San Diego (April 25, 2013, 10:34 PM EDT) -- A California State Assembly panel approved a measure Wednesday that would force adult film producers to require performers to wear condoms in all movies made in the state, but lawyers warn that passage of the bill would drive the industry out of California, draining thousands of jobs and billions in revenue from the state’s floundering economy.

In a 5-0 vote, the state Assembly Committee on Labor and Employment waved through A.B. 332, which would require actors to wear condoms and “other protective barriers” on adult movie...
