Shell, Others Ask High Court To Reject Alaska Climate Suit

Law360, New York (April 19, 2013, 3:36 PM EDT) -- Two dozen energy companies including Shell Oil Co. urged the U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday not to take up a public nuisance lawsuit from a group of native Alaskans alleging greenhouse gas emissions made their village uninhabitable, arguing the Clean Air Act displaces common law claims.
