Pa. Treasury To Halt $1.7M Payments To Website Operator

Law360, Philadelphia (April 22, 2013, 3:26 PM EDT) -- The Pennsylvania Treasury said Friday that it was halting $1.7 million in payments requested for a private operator set to take over the state's Web portal, four days after a state representative questioned the legitimacy of the contract.

The agency’s fiscal review office submitted questions to the Comptroller Operations Bureau of Payable Services and told the bureau that it could not make payment on the contract awarded to NICUSA Inc. until those questions had been addressed.
