$13M Payday For Lawyers In Paint Price-Fixing MDL

Law360, New York (January 8, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The plaintiffs' attorneys in a multidistrict antitrust action against Sherwin-Williams Co. and PPG Industries Inc. have won $13 million in fees, topping off a $39 million settlement they struck a year ago.

Judge R. Barclay Surrick of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania granted the class counsels' request for one-third of the sum that Sherwin-Williams and PPG agreed to pay to bury accusations that the colluded to fix prices for automotive refinishing paint.
