Citizens Assistant Managers Exempt From OT Requirements

Law360, New York (April 22, 2013, 8:43 PM EDT) -- Citizens Financial Group Inc. scored a major win Friday when a Pennsylvania jury concluded that a class of hundreds of assistant bank branch managers who claimed to be owed overtime pay were exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act's overtime requirements. 

Following a trial on the assistant branch managers' FLSA claims that lasted nearly three weeks, the jury determined that the plaintiffs were exempt under either the statute's executive or administrative exemptions or both.
