Risks Of 'Patent Troll' Insurance May Slow Adoption

Law360, San Diego (April 22, 2013, 10:33 PM EDT) -- The rise in lawsuits brought by patent-holding companies has spurred some businesses to offer insurance against so-called patent troll lawsuits, but attorneys say such coverage has been slow to catch on because costly patent litigation can quickly exceed coverage limits, and buying the insurance may actually invite patent suits.
