RIM Reels From Supreme Court Denial Of Stay

Law360, New York (October 26, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In yet another stinging setback for Research In Motion Ltd., the U.S. Supreme Court has rejected the BlackBerry maker’s emergency request to stay the case brought by NTP Inc. in a lower court.

Chief Justice John Roberts denied RIM’s request without comment. As a result, RIM now faces a potentially-devastating injunction leveled in 2003 against its popular wireless communications service.
