Injunction Bid Denied In HDMI Trade Secret Feud

Law360, New York (January 8, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A California federal court has denied a request by video microchip manufacturer Silicon Image Inc. to stop rival Analogix Semiconductor Inc. from selling chips allegedly based on confidential trade secrets.

Sunnyvale-based Silicon Image had sought a preliminary injunction from the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California to stop Analogix Semiconductor Inc. from selling certain high-definition multimedia interface, or HDMI, chips that were allegedly based on the misappropriated trade secrets.
