Shutterfly Latest To Be Sued Over Online Image Patent

Law360, New York (April 25, 2013, 8:25 PM EDT) -- Photo-sharing site Shutterfly on Wednesday became the latest company to be hit with a suit by Tejas Research LLC in Texas federal court over a patent covering technology for quickly downloading image files online.

Tyler, Texas-based Tejas has reached settlements with numerous companies over the same patent in the Eastern District of Texas in recent months, including Playboy Enterprises Inc., Getty Images US Inc. and Walgreen Co.
