NJ's Property Tax Appeal Backlog Is Growing, Official Says

Law360, New York (April 25, 2013, 10:03 PM EDT) -- The acting administrative director of New Jersey’s court system on Thursday told a General Assembly committee that the state’s backlog of property tax appeals is growing as both the state’s judiciary and its municipalities struggle to keep pace with an influx of appeals.

Judge Glenn A. Grant told New Jersey’s General Assembly Budget Committee on Thursday that the state has seen a marked increase in the number of property tax appeals being filed, leaving New Jersey’s tax court struggling to handle the increased load.
