Ex-Counsel Sues To Break Glass Ceiling

Law360, New York (January 9, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A former general counsel for CIFG Holding has filed a gender discrimination suit against the French financial guaranty insurer for allegedly subjecting employees to a “glass ceiling,” which prevented women from reaching senior management positions.

Kathleen Cully's suit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, claimed that CIFG's practices limited the advancement of women and also interfered with her ability to do her job.
