LivingSocial's 50M Users Hit By Cyberattack

Law360, Los Angeles (April 26, 2013, 8:22 PM EDT) -- LivingSocial Inc. on Friday said it was recently hit by a cyberattack that compromised the security of its 50 million customers' accounts, but said the hackers weren't able to decode the users' passwords or access their credit card and banking information.

News of the cyberattack came the same day Amazon.com Inc., which has a 29 percent equity stake in LivingSocial, said in a securities filing that the daily deals site had lost $50 million in the first three months of the 2013 fiscal year.
