Test Pilot Yeager's Likeness Suit Denied High Court Review

Law360, New York (April 29, 2013, 4:51 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court declined Monday to hear a case brought by Chuck Yeager — the first pilot to fly faster than the speed of sound — that claimed a memorabilia website had used his name and likeness without authorization.

Yeager had asked the high court to revive his suit against the owners of Aviation Autographs, claiming a trial court and the Ninth Circuit had improperly used state-law statutes of limitation to dismiss federal Lanham Act claims.
