Starbucks Summary Judgment Bid Moot: Judge

Law360, New York (January 10, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge has denied Starbucks Corp.'s bid for partial summary judgment in an employment dispute over overtime wages brought by two former managers.

On Wednesday, Judge Marra of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida granted the plaintiffs' request to dismiss Starbucks' motion, agreeing that the bid is moot in light of the case being designated a collective action in September.
