Law360, Los Angeles (April 29, 2013, 8:03 PM EDT) -- A Florida appeals court on Monday granted Gawker Media LLC an emergency stay of a lower court's order that the website take down a 1,400-word narrative detailing Hulk Hogan's sex tape.

The Florida Second District Court of Appeal's order is a major victory for Gawker, which defied Sixth Judicial Circuit Judge Pamela A. M. Campbell's demand that it remove all content related to the secretly taped video until Hogan's copyright infringement suit against Gawker is over.
