Appeals Court To Hear Intergraph v. Intel Case Next Week

Law360 (November 25, 2003, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit will hear arguments on Monday of next week in chipmaker Intel’s appeal of an October 2002 ruling in which a U.S. district judge in Marshall, Texas, found the company infringed on patents held by rival Intergraph.

Huntsville, Ala.-based Intergraph, which once worked closely with Intel in the workstation market, alleged that Intel's Itanium chip for servers infringed on designs embodied in two Intergraph patents and in its Clipper processor, a microchip formerly used in Intergraph's workstations....
