Qiagen Buys Genetic Data Processor In $105M Cash Deal

Law360, New York (April 29, 2013, 7:44 PM EDT) -- Dutch genetic testing company Qiagen NV announced Monday that it has acquired privately held Ingenuity Systems Inc. in a $105 million transaction designed to make further inroads into genetic sequencing technology.

The all-cash transaction gives Qiagen a suite of Web-based applications designed to quickly analyze and interpret the biological meaning of genomic data, which is used in scientific research and medical diagnosis settings, the company said.
