Bankrupt Battery Co.'s Creditors Look To Nix $28M GM Claim

Law360, Wilmington (April 29, 2013, 9:48 PM EDT) -- The creditors committee for former battery maker A123 Systems Inc. asked a Delaware bankruptcy judge Monday to disallow General Motors LLC's $27.9 million claim for rejection damages, saying the automaker failed to provide any documentation to justify the figure.

The Massachusetts-based battery maker, which changed its name to B456 Systems Inc. earlier this month, rejected its contracts with GM in February after new owner Wanxiang Group Corp. decided it didn't want to continue the deals.
