OSHA Cracks Down On Safety Risks To Temporary Workers

Law360, New York (April 30, 2013, 3:32 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration on Monday announced a new initiative aimed at ramping up efforts to protect temporary employees from workplace hazards.

The agency kicked off the initiative by sending a memorandum to its regional administrators that directs field inspectors to assess whether employers who use temporary workers are complying with their responsibilities under the Occupational Safety and Health Act.
