Shaky Economy Cited As Cadwalader Pink-Slips 35

Law360, New York (January 10, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The ripple effect of continued unrest in the world of finance has hit Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, which revealed Thursday it will reluctantly be handing pink slips to a group of 35 unlucky attorneys.

The New York City-based firm said the layoffs would affect its global finance and capital markets departments, and cited the “unexpected and persistent volatility [that] continues to disrupt sectors of the financial markets and is affecting the capital markets, many of our clients, and certain practices within our firm.”
