FDA Ignores Toxic Arsenic In Animal Feed, Suit Says

Law360, New York (May 1, 2013, 3:16 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration was hit Tuesday with a suit in California federal court that seeks to force the agency to respond to a three-year-old petition to ban certain arsenic-based drugs added to animal feed.

Brought by the Center for Food Safety and the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy, among others, the declaratory suit argues that the FDA violated both the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and the Administrative Procedure Act by not responding to the groups' December 2009 petition to withdraw...
