NJ Metal Co. Hit With Discrimination Suit After Acquisition

Law360, New York (May 1, 2013, 6:56 PM EDT) -- New Jersey aluminum fabricator Aluminum Shapes LLC was slapped Monday with an employment discrimination complaint in New Jersey state court by 19 former employees who say they were fired because of their ages when the company was acquired.

The workers say they were terminated without warning in February, after being told their positions were being eliminated due to a pending sale of Aluminum Shapes to Walnut, Calif.-based Global Aluminum Inc., which is also named as a defendant.
