Quest Loses Challenge To $250M LabCorp Army Contract

Law360, Chicago (May 2, 2013, 4:18 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has denied Quest Diagnostics Inc.'s protest of a $250 million U.S. Army medical testing contract awarded to rival Laboratory Corp. of America, according to an opinion unsealed Wednesday.

Judge Eric G. Bruggink of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims granted summary judgment in the case to the government, and LabCorp as intervenor, finding that the Army properly weighed the price and overall value of the two companies' offers in favor of LabCorp.
