Investor Lifts 3i Stake As Pressure For Change Mounts

Law360, New York (May 3, 2013, 12:29 PM EDT) -- Activist investor Edward Bramson on Friday again raised his stake in 3i Group PLC, ratcheting up pressure on the flagging private equity firm that has already felt blowback from weary investors over tepid returns from its buyout business.

Bramson's New York-based Sherborne Investors Management LP lifted his 3i interest to 4.9 percent, worth roughly $197 million.
