Chemical Co. Hit With Suit Over 2004 Barge Spill

Law360, New York (January 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Residents of Brusly, La. have filed a class action complaint against chemical manufacturer Tessenderlo Davison Chemicals LLC in an attempt to tie up loose ends from a 2004 barge spill on the Mississippi River.

The lawsuit, filed on Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana, accuses TDC of having connections with a barge which released ammonium disulfide and sodium hydrogen sulfide into the surrounding neighborhood.
