7th Circ. Says Doc Can't Rehash Bias Claims In Federal Court

Law360, New York (May 3, 2013, 9:32 PM EDT) -- The Seventh Circuit on Friday found that a doctor's federal discrimination claims against an Illinois hospital that kicked him off its staff couldn't be raised in federal court because he had already gotten a chance to assert them in state court.

In a split decision, the Seventh Circuit on Friday affirmed an Illinois federal court's ruling that Dr. Keith Dookeran's Civil Rights Act claims should have been raised during earlier hearings in state court.
