Temple U. Hospital Sues To Keep Fired Worker From Returning

Law360, Philadelphia (May 6, 2013, 4:42 PM EDT) -- Temple University Hospital filed suit Friday against a union representing hospital employees, asking a Pennsylvania state court judge to overturn an arbitration award reinstating an employee who had been fired for sexual harassment.

In the complaint filed against National Union of Hospital and Health Care Employees, AFSCME, Chapter 1199C, Temple emphasized that the award in favor of patient interviewer Lisa Pena made it impossible for the hospital to maintain a workplace free of harassment.
